We are a human performance consulting firm. Our coaches, trainers and facilitators have extensive experience helping leaders, teams and organizations transform their cultures, resolve complex challenges and leverage promising opportunities.
We are passionate about helping our customers develop sustainable high performance cultures in which leadership, trust, accountability, and commitment to shared goals are the norm. When the disciplines of the Four Fields are learned and practiced throughout an organization, honesty, accountability, continuous learning, and adaptive transformation pervade and ENERGIZE the culture.
High performance organizations are the product of high performance leaders and cultures. High performance leaders and cultures can be developed through commitment, openness to learning, and intentional practice. The disciplines, principles, and practices of the organization are the path to achieving self-sustaining high performance that will last for generations.
Our Team
Tom Goodell is President and founder of Linden Leadership. Since its inception in 1987 our mission has been to guide clients in establishing and sustaining leadership and cultures of high performance.
Tom is the author of the book The Four Fields of Leadership: How People and Organizations Can Thrive in a Hyperconnected World which provides the foundation for Linden Leadership’s work. The Four Fields methodology integrates powerful coaching methodologies, systems theory, emotional intelligence, practices of high-performance communication, and experiential learning.
Tom provides executive, management, and team coaching; leadership training; and culture-building services in a wide variety of organizations, including entrepreneurial businesses, large corporations, government, education, and not-for-profit institutions. Tom received his CPPM certification in Ontological Coaching from The Newfield Network, Inc. in Boulder, Colorado. He studied somatic coaching at the Strozzi Institute in California. In partnership with Kate Rubin, President of the Minnesota High Tech Association (MHTA), he co-designed and co-facilitated the MHTA ACE Leadership Program, providing leadership development training to hundreds of leaders in Minnesota companies of all sizes.
Tom lives with his wife Barbara in Minneapolis, Minnesota. They have two grown daughters, Sarah and Julia. He is actively involved in training coaches and facilitators in the principles and practices of the Four Fields methodology.
Since 1984 Richard McDonald has provided executive coaching, leadership training and team development to a broad range of executives in diverse organizations throughout the world. In 28 years, he has provided coaching and mentoring to over 20,000 managers and senior executives on six continents.
Richard’s areas of expertise are the training and development of managers who rely on influence, credibility and integrity for successful leadership. His unique approach integrates somatic coaching, emotional competence and a powerful methodology for collaborative alignment and execution. He has worked on assignments that range from one-on-one coaching to facilitating groups of all sizes, as well as being a keynote speaker.
Richard’s coaching and consulting engagements have proven to accelerate and increase the value of the leaders’ unique contribution to their organizations. His clients have included American Airlines, AT&T, BP, Capital One, Cargill, Coca-Cola Company, General Electric, Hewlett Packard, Lockheed Martin, Microsoft, Nike, Shell Oil and Westin Hotels. After receiving his B.A. in Psychology from the University of Port Elizabeth in South Africa, Mr. McDonald received a Postgraduate degree in Education from UNISA in South Africa. He has studied Somatic Coaching and holds an Advanced Leadership credential from the Strozzi Institute in California and a CPPM certification in Ontological Coaching from the Newfield Network in Colorado. He has also received advanced accreditation in Emotional Competence Training from the Three Mountain Foundation in California.
Richard was born in South Africa and has two grown children, Moriah and Justice. He now makes his home in Austin, Texas with his wife Amy. He enjoys surfing and travels the world in search of the perfect wave.
Jiezhen Wu is a connector, collaborator, and changemaker. She was most recently an Equity & Inclusion Fellow and part of the Mindful Leaders Collective at Harvard University’s Graduate School of Education – where she completed her Masters in Education with a focus on leadership and inclusion in organizations. Before Harvard, she worked in social innovation and social impact – leading a social enterprise and media platform in Asia and facilitating global summits and spaces for wellbeing for changemakers and collaborators. She also serves on several national committees and nonprofit boards in Singapore, is a global facilitator and changemaker for Ashoka’s ChangemakerXchange initiative, holds a degree in Positive Psychology, is a certified yoga teacher (RYT200) and positive psychology and possibility coach.
Prior to Harvard, she was the #girlboss and Executive Director at The Hidden Good, a community-centered content platform based in Singapore that collaborates with advocates and partners to raise awareness on social issues and inspire action. She thrives on building partnerships, growing communities, and making the good in the world less hidden. Jiezhen also double majored in Political Science and Peace and Justice at Wellesley College, graduating with double honors and a concentration in education and international community development.
She currently coaches and consults with Linden Leadership for organizations and leaders who are looking to build more conscious, inclusive, and impactful organizations.
Michelle Schelp came to Linden Leadership in 2014 from a corporate background in Human Resources, client relations, and agency side Executive Search and Recruitment. In Human Resources she engaged employees and executives to build high performance cultures through training programs, coaching, and communications solutions.
Michelle brings deep insights and a unique perspective to client relationships at Linden Leadership. She strives to understand our clients and their needs, and effectively manages the delivery of our services to meet those needs. She takes great pride in building long term relationships characterized by honesty, integrity, and trust with all of our clients.
Lecia Grossman is a trusted Leadership Development Consultant and Executive Coach. She has a strong focus on leading organizational change through holistic leader development and coaching. Her innovative approach is grounded in human systems dynamics, coactive coaching principles, and creative practices. She is known for her boundless capacity to embrace challenge and change with curiosity and adaptive action, while creating environments where people are authentic and motivated. As a collaborative colleague who sees possibility in everything, she is dedicated to practicality and sustainability.
Throughout her career, Lecia has established departments, forged new product distribution systems, created multiple learning products for front-line workers to senior leadership, and facilitated learning and community forums. Her coaching and facilitation is engaging, motivational, and infused with creative practices, neuroscience methodologies, co-active coaching skills, reflective practices, and appreciative inquiry. Colleagues and clients come to her for help seeing the big picture and possibilities, and the beauty in the details. She is known for her ability to enthusiastically turn possibilities into sound, practical outputs.
Lecia co-offices in MN and TX and follows the warmth and sun. In TX she lives in the woods in a tiny house her husband built where her dog Ruby Rocket roams free. Her passion for dialogue and learning is found not only in her professional career but also in her community. She founded the zAmya Theater Project, a community theater collaboration of homeless and housed individuals aimed at increasing awareness, understanding and advocacy for the homeless.
Lecia grounds herself by listening to birds, mindfulness practices, yoga, and walking. Her mantra is “What would make it fun?”
